Hip Hip Hooray for HD Radio!
presenting
and
chin up has a goodness about them, although they aren't the style of music i would be listening to, particularly.
out of their three albums, they've seemed to keep a continuum of assholeyness, brutality, and nerves of steel. These boys are unafraid of what feedback they may get back for being such a lighthearted band naming tracks to include profane words.
i like them. you should too.
Any normal person really wouldn't be an advocate of this, but if ever one needs a musical expander, I've got it. It's called Undies and it is an HD station off of Oklahoma City's rock channel called The Buzzzzzzzzz. The Buzz has stuff like Creed, Nickelback, and Three Doors Down. But not Undies! OH no, my dear friend. Because they are HD, you can listen to the station and satisfy your diversity craving with Minus the Bear, LCD Soundsystem, Dan Deacon, The Shins, Arcade Fire and Bell Orchestre, Deerhoof, Go! Team, Wolf Parade, Pere Ubu, Rufus Wainwright, Blonde Redhead, My Morning Jacket, Animal Collective, Ladytron, Essex Green, Dinosaur Jr., Wilco, Camper Van Beethoven, Sonic Youth, Fiona Apple, Dukespirit, Chin Up Chin Up, Stellastarr*, Band of Horses, Belle and Sebastian, Magnetic Fields, Flaming Lips, Broken Social Scene, Yo La Tengo, Andrew Bird and to make it REALLY eclectic they threw in some Darkest Hour and Pig Destroyer, too! I really have to stop now but they just keep getting better and better these bands!
You will listen. But, with all good things come bad ones: The stream won't tell you the names of anything. So you're kind of screwed whenever you actually want to know songs...and if you REALLY do, here's a tip: listen to the lyrics, then google them. it should give you an answer. hopefully.
K DUDE, here it comes:
